A challenging economy rebalance for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (v1.58 – 1.60). Every euro counts. Plan your routes, protect your cargo, and grow your company carefully.
What changes:
Job income (harder):
Base pay per km reduced by ~33% (15 → 10 EUR/km base)
Fixed job bonus reduced (600 → 400 EUR)
Freight Market jobs pay 72% of base rate (was 90%)
Cargo Market jobs pay 82% of base rate (was 100%)
Level-up income bonus reduced
Expenses (higher):
Fuel prices increased by 35% in all 36 countries
Ferry and tunnel fees increased by 50%
Garage fuel discount reduced (15% → 8%)
Small garage: 220,000 EUR (was 180,000)
Garage upgrade: 130,000 EUR (was 100,000)
Emergency tow and roadside refuel much more expensive
Penalties (stricter):
Cargo damage costs more per percent
Abandoning a job: 20,000 EUR (was 12,000)
Less overtime before late delivery penalties
Urgent deliveries have tighter time windows
Company management (harder):
Selling trucks returns 50% (was 60%)
Hiring a driver: 2,500 EUR (was 1,500)
Driver base salary and maintenance costs increased
AI drivers earn less per job
Company profit margins are tighter
Progression (slower):
XP per level increased by ~45%
Hired drivers gain skills more slowly

How to install ETS2 mods or ATS Mods
In Euro Truck Simulator 2 it’s easy to install mods. You just need to download mod from here, copy/unzip files into: “My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod” folder or if you play ATS please install mods to: “My Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod” folder. To unzip files you can use: WinRAR or 7zip. After that you need to activate the mods you want to use.
