The DAF XF Euro 6 is a significant step forward in the evolution of DAF’s flagship long-haul truck. Introduced to meet stricter European emissions standards, it brought major changes not only to its engine but also to its design, safety, and driver comfort.
Engine and Efficiency
The heart of the DAF XF Euro 6 is its PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines. These engines were developed to be more efficient and cleaner than their Euro 5 predecessors. Key features include:
Euro 6 Compliance: This is achieved through a combination of technologies, including Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), and a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). This system drastically reduces harmful emissions like nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter.

Cabs: It comes with a choice of Space Cab and the famously large Super Space Cab. Both offer a lot of interior space, including a flat floor in the Super Space Cab, which makes moving around the cabin much easier.
Interior: The dashboard is a well-thought-out, wraparound design with a new digital display. There’s a lot of storage space, and the seats are highly adjustable, with options for heating and ventilation. The cab is also exceptionally quiet, which helps reduce driver fatigue.
Safety and Technology
Safety is a major focus for the XF Euro 6, with many features that have become standard for modern trucks.
Active Safety Systems: The truck is equipped with a suite of safety features, including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), a Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and an Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS).
Vehicle Stability Control (VSC): This system works to prevent jack-knifing and rollovers by electronically managing the truck’s braking and throttle.
Driver Assistance: The Driver Performance Assistant (DPA) provides real-time feedback to help the driver operate the truck more economically and safely. This includes tips on braking, gear selection, and even tire pressure.

How to install ETS2 mods or ATS Mods
In Euro Truck Simulator 2 it’s easy to install mods. You just need to download mod from here, copy/unzip files into: “My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod” folder or if you play ATS please install mods to: “My Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod” folder. To unzip files you can use: WinRAR or 7zip. After that you need to activate the mods you want to use.
